Haggen Recipe 1/11

Simple Crock-Pot Chicken Noodle (or Chicken with Rice)

This recipe is VERY easy to adapt! Since I always have rice or noodles on hand, I figured this was an appropriate “What to Cook” recipe with this week’s Haggen deals!

2 Draper Valley Chicken breasts, skinned

2 Organic Carrots, cut into bite sized pieces

Enough water to fill your crock pot

1/2 cup rice or 1 cup noodles (Don’t add until about 15 minutes before serving, don’t overcook)!

A pinch of salt and pepper to taste

(optional)

1 Onion, cut into bite sized peices

2 Stalks Celery, cut into bite sized peices

A pinch of parsley to garnish

This recipe is SO easy. Throw the ingredients in the crock-pot and let it simmer ALL DAY! The longer it cooks the better it tastes! Right before serving, throw in the rice or noodles!

Mom’s note: I LOVE the crock-pot! It lets me make dinner in the AM and I just forget about it until its time to serve!!!

    What a great idea! Sounds like a perfect remedy for a cold. I love that you can substitute rice for noodles.
